  5. Welcome to DiskTop™ v4.0.2 Updaters.

  8. To update DiskTop:
  9.  
  10. • Check the version of CE Toolbox™ in the System Folder on your startup drive.  If the version number is less than 1.6.5, copy the version of CE Toolbox from this disk into the System Folder on your startup drive.  (If you downloaded this Read Me file from one of our Support Forums on an on-line service, you can also find the latest version of CE Toolbox in that Support Forum.)

  12. Note:  If have renamed your previous version of CE Toolbox for any reason, remove it (the old CE Toolbox) from your System Folder.

  14. • Make a copy of your DiskTop 4.0 or 4.0.1 master disk.  We will update the copy and install DiskTop v4.0.2 onto your computer from it.
  15.  
  16. • Double-click the “DT 4.0 to 4.0.2 Updater” or the “DT 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 Updater” icon to launch it.

  18. • When you are prompted to locate DiskTop, insert the copied disk and select the DiskTop desk accessory on it.  Click “Open.”  This will update the copy of DiskTop on this disk to version 4.0.2.

  20. • Next, you will be prompted to locate the DiskTop.Extras™ file.  Select the DiskTop.Extras™ file and click “Open.”  The DiskTop.Extras™ file will be updated.

  22. • If you are using System 6.0.X, install the DiskTop desk accessory from the updated disk with Font/DA Mover.  Copy the updated DiskTop.Extras™ file from the updated disk into your System Folder.

  24. • If you are using System 7.0.X, copy the DiskTop desk accessory from the updated disk into the Apple Menu Items folder in your System Folder.  Copy the updated DiskTop.Extras™ file from the updated disk into the Extensions folder in your System Folder.

  26. • Restart your computer.

  28. • Copy the new version of CE Toolbox onto your copy of the DiskTop Master disk and store it in a safe location.  This disk is now the master, containing DiskTop v4.0.2, DiskTop.Extras™ v1.0.1 and CE Toolbox v1.6.5.
